Topshop launches its debut vegan shoe collection

There's no doubting that our fashion habits have changed as we've become more aware of the industry's impact on the environment.

From high street brands utilising sustainable materials to the majority of renowned designers going faux-free, the way we shop in 2019 is markedly different.

The latest high street store to take steps towards a cruelty-free future is Topshop, which launched its first vegan shoe collection on Wednesday.

The footwear range, which features six timeless styles is PETA-approved, handmade in Spain and made from materials that are 100 per cent free from animal products.

Focussing on a timeless neutral palette of white, black, tan and blush hues, the 12 pairs include every stylish silhouette for 2019 - from chunky festival-ready sandals to sophisticated faux snakeskin mules and retro square-toed sandals.

"We can't wait to see how shoppers respond to the design-led collection and how far we can push vegan products across our accessories offering," says Maddy Evans, Fashion Director at Topshop.

Each pair of shoes will also be packaged in a box made by animal-friendly materials. Prices range between £42 and £59 - and are available to shop now.
