Toploader announce intimate London show on the Thames: How to get tickets for Brit Boat date

Londoners are set to be dancing in the moonlight come Saturday May 25, as Toploader will perform an intimate show while cruising down the Thames.

The band will treat 200 guests to a performance on the Brit Boat, with guests set for a night of nostalgic pop tunes as they sail through the city.

Taking place from Tower Pier at 7.30pm, the gig will see the band float past some of the capital's most iconic landmarks, including Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf, The O2 and the Tower of London.

Toploader made a name for themselves with the release of Dancing in the Moonlight in 2000, which went double platinum and sold more than 1.2 million copies.

The song was originally recorded by King Harvest in the early 70s, and the cover featured on Toploader’s debut album Onka’s Big Moka.

Speaking about the upcoming show, Robert Klein, owner of the Brit Boat, said: “We jumped at the chance to book Toploader. Two hundred people will get the chance to see this cracking band do their stuff while London’s landmarks sail by.

“Dancing in the Moonlight has been called the soundtrack of the early noughties. It sold by the bucket load back in the day and the guys have a great reputation for live performances.”

How to get Toploader tickets

Tickets for the show are priced at £29.95 and can be bought here.
