A shirtless man was arrested following a car crash in Rutherglen last week.
Two vehicles were involved in the incident, which took place on East Kilbride Road and left one car extensively damaged.
An onlooker told the Reformer : “The man with no top on seemed unsteady on his feet when he got out the car and didn’t seem to comprehend what was going on. It happened just outside the vets. It’s lucky that no-one was waiting to cross the road.
“It’s such a dangerous stretch, there’s been a few crashes there this year already.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 26-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection
with road traffic offences following a two-car crash on East Kilbride Road around 4.20pm on Wednesday, May 13. There were no serious injuries.”
The spokesperson added: “The man was released and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.”
