Tennis fans will be able to see the cream of the British crop live in Glasgow this week,
The Murray Trophy Glasgow is a men’s indoor tournament of ATP Challenger Tour level, organised in partnership between the Lawn Tennis Association , Jamie Murray and Glasgow Life, which kicks off on Monday.
The competition aims to provide a high-level event for the autumn season and is set to attract international stars to compete for the title.
Last year’s ATP Challenger (known as the Glasgow Trophy) was won by Slovakia’s Lukas Lacko, who fought back from a set down to beat Italian Luca Vanni 4-6, 7-6(3), 6-4.
Taking place at the Scotstoun Leisure Centre, the contest was this year re-named after the Murray family in tribute to their services to British tennis, and has been developed alongside Jamie to deliver a world-class experience for fans.
Anton Matusevich, Jack Draper, Lloyd Glasspool, Evan Hoyt and Aidan McHugh complete the lineup of homegrown talent appearing and the entry list includes eight players ranked within the world top 200 including Austria’s Dennis Novak, Frenchman Gregoire Barrere and Tunisian Malek Jaziri.
Organisers say: "With prices for families (two adults and two children) starting from £30, the tournament is a great opportunity to introduce kids to the world of pro-tennis and inspire them to become the next Andy or Jamie Murray."
The event runs from Monday, September 16 - Sunday, September 22.
