Top TV chef Tom Kerridge sheds 12 STONE making easy changes to diet

Top TV chef Tom Kerridge had lost an incredible 12 stone by making simple changes to his diet.

The 45-year-old is well known for cooking up delicious meals on Saturday Kitchen and Great British Menu, and is sharing the secrets to his massive weight loss.

When Tom cut out alcohol and started some daily exercise he noticed an huge difference.

He also followed the dopamine diet, which is low-carb based, swapping them for foods rich in protein, the Mirror reports .

Tom also said he cut out snacking and now eats plenty of vegetables, tinned beans and eggs, and reduced his sugar intake.

The chef spoke to GQ about how he achieved such successful loss in weight.

He said: "As a chef, I was grazing and snacking throughout service. Or I’d be eating cheese on toast and packets of crisps because they were quick and there and ready to go.

“I was a big one to skip breakfast. I didn’t have any."

But he is also realistic about his weight loss journey and giving in to the odd temptation.

He said: "There is nothing wrong with a flapjack in the afternoon when you get that 4pm lull if everything else is in place."
