Top Scottish tourist attraction picks up coveted Tripadvisor award

A SCOTTISH tourist attraction has picked up a coveted award from Tripadvisor.

The Whale and Dolphin Conservation’s (WDC) Scottish Dolphin Centre has been recognised as a 2023 Travellers’ Choice Award winner.

The centre is based Fochabers in Moray and gives people the chance to “see the amazing bottlenose dolphins of the Moray Firth”.

It’s run by the WDC – a charity dedicated to the protection of dolphins and whales.

The award celebrates businesses which have consistently received great reviews over the last 12 months, placing these winners among the top 10% of all listings globally.

Visitors to the centre can learn more about whales and dolphins that live in Scottish waters and about WDC’s work to protect them.

The centre’s manager Alison Rose said: “We take pride in providing a great visitor experience for all who come looking for dolphins with us and I hope this will encourage even more people to come to Spey Bay.”

John Boris, chief growth officer at Tripadvisor, congratulated the staff on their award.

“The travel resurgence we’ve seen throughout the past year has even further heightened the competition”, he said.

“Earning a Travellers’ Choice Award demonstrates that you have provided great experiences to those who matter most – your guests.”
