Top restaurant launches delivery service for customers who don't want to eat in

One of Nottingham's best restaurants has launched a new free delivery service for customers who don't want to venture out.

After a dip over the weekend Indian restaurant MemSaab is offering to drop off curries to food lovers so they don't have to miss out on the award-winning food during the coronavirus pandemic.

Owner Amita Sawhney said: "This is one option if someone is really craving some food. If people are in quarantine and want food left on their doorstep we want to help.

"Hygiene-wise we take utmost responsibility to meet all standards."

Those who do visit the restaurant in Maid Marian Way have been reassured that they can be seated further away from other diners because of the size of the restaurant.

Members of restaurant staff will be doing the delivery round within a 4-6km radius.

The full menu is available for home delivery.

The restaurant announced the new service on Facebook and Twitter saying: "We know there are anxieties and concerns at the moment surrounding Covid-19, and we are hoping that our offer cheers you up a little

"If you are in self-isolation, or quarantine, and would like your order dropped on your doorstep with no contact, please let us know when ordering.

"Be kind, stay safe, and wash your hands."
