Top prospects shine as Alabama rolls Duke

It took a while for the Tide to get rolling, but some of the top prospects in the 2020 NFL draft class eventually shook off the rust and executed their customary assault on the box score.

Alabama took a 14-3 lead into halftime, but pulled away in the second half for a 42-3 victory over the Blue Devils.

Tua Tagovailoa, arguably the top quarterback prospect in the nation, completed 26 of 31 passes for 336 yards, four touchdown passes and no interceptions.

Jerry Jeudy hauled in 10 passes for 137 yards, including an impressive 21-yard touchdown. Jeudy, like his quarterback, is widely regarded as the top prospect at his position for next year’s draft.

Despite the loss of top linebacker prospect Dylan Moses, who will miss the entire season with a knee injury, Alabama’s defense held Duke’s offense in check all day. Experienced leaders like defensive lineman Raekwon Davis and pass rusher Terrell Lewis led the Tide in a dominant performance.

This team is built to make a return to the national title game, and they’re loaded with players who will hear their names called early in next year’s draft.
