Workers at Newcastle's largest stand-alone office building celebrated a milestone this week with the laying of the project's last concrete slab.
The 12-storey, $54 million building next door to the Wickham transport interchange is due to be complete in March 2021.
The NSW government has given Doma Group a 10-year commitment as anchor tenant of the building, though it is not clear which departments will move to the new premises.

"Once we reach this stage completion suddenly feels very close and we expect the building to be ready for occupation in March 2021," Doma's Newcastle development director Chris Farrington said.
"Traditionally when you top out, it is an opportunity to thank all the men and women who have worked hard to get the project to this point.
"We have faced challenging conditions in Australia this year, but thanks to the commitment of every member of our team, particularly our crew on site, who helped us achieve this milestone."
The remaining section of the bus interchange will open once construction access is no longer required for the adjacent office building.

The company had planned to build a 147-room hotel and 52 apartments but has since decided to convert the units into serviced apartments.
