Top Irish model Ava Kissane says she'd love to appear on reality show Love Island

A top Irish Model told how she’s vying to star on Love Island as show bosses are on the hunt for talented Irish wannabes.

The hit show is in its fifth season and ITV are hoping to cast Irish contestants to shake things up on the Island.

19-year old Assets model Ava Kissane revealed she’d love a shot at finding Mr Right on the on the reality show and she feels her “extra” personality could be the winning formula.

Ava told the Irish Mirror: “I’d go on it to make friends, have a good time and to make memories, I’d go on it for my greater good than for anything else.”

“I love being Extra for the camera now, more dramatic, you know.”

The Dublin stunner admitted she wants to do something “wild” in her youth and Love Island fits the bill.

She added: “If there was one thing to stop me going on it would be the lack of privacy after the show, but I feel you need to do something wild when you’re young.

“In the last few years a lot of the relationships haven’t lasted and that would turn me off.

“But then again it’s all just for the telly and none of it’s real, you’re on it to have a good time and make friends.”

The blonde beauty said Love Island is now becoming a regular theme on photoshoots, adding: “I did a shoot recently and it was Love Island inspired and it was all the make- up looks and I had to act loads.

“It’s kind of like get the Love Island Look.”

The tragic deaths of 32-year old Sophie Gradon, who was in the second series and Mike Thalassitis, 26, who was in the third paved the way for more psychological evaluations on the TV series.

The model admits that reality TV can be dangerous and demands a strong state of mind.

She said: “I know there are a lot of negatives for going on it as well, you have to be mindful of that.

“You need to be in a strong headspace going into it because you’ll be known everywhere in the world once it airs.”

In the past show contestants have been negatively targeted on Social media, which Ava has experienced first hand.

She added: “On social media people portray you to be something your not, I’ve experienced it myself so I can only imagine what it would be like if you were on the telly.

You can see people are talking about you.

“Sometimes producers edit the stars to make them look really bad when in fact they are lovely people.

“People on social media try to drag you down, even though you haven’t done anything wrong, envy is a big thing on social media if you were to ever get big.”
