A four-star Irish hotel has issued a warning to guests about a scam attempt by fraudsters pretending to be from the luxury accommodation.
Rathmullan House, located on the shores of Lough Swilly in Co Donegal, shared advice with customers about what to do if targeted.
The hotel explained that it had become aware that fraudulent emails had been sent to people with bookings.
Fraudsters purporting to be from the business has contacted people with the aim of encouraging them to share their personal and financial details.
Rathmullan House alerted the public that they would never ask for banking details to be sent over email.

It also asked that anyone who receives such a scam email should delete it immediately.
The hotel said: "We have been made aware of fraudulent emails being sent out purporting to be from Rathmullan House.
"These are not being sent from the hotel and we would ask that you delete them and do not open any attachments.
"We would never ask for your financial information to be sent via email to the hotel.
"If we were asking for a room deposit, one of our receptionists would always ask you to telephone the hotel directly.
"We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused."
It comes as criminals continue to target the public with elaborate scams purporting to be from genuine financial institutions or delivery companies.
Earlier this week, an Irish mother who was previously employed at a bank has said she felt "stupid" after fraudsters reportedly swindled €3,000 from her account.
The mum-of-two from Co Galway says she fell victim to the latest AIB scam doing the rounds in Ireland.
The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, said the text message looked very realistic, as the Galway City Tribune reports.
“I’m the one always telling my mother not to open links, and now I got caught. I felt so stupid,” she told the paper.
She says she received a message purporting to be from AIB which contained a link for her to regain access to her online account.
However, after she clicked it, it emerged that €2,997 had been taken from her account.
