Top Gear star Paddy McGuinness leaves This Morning fans in stitches after turning up 'drunk'

Paddy McGuinness left This Morning viewers in stitches today after turning up 'drunk'.

The Top Gear star admitted to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that he had not slept after partying all night at the show's Series 28 premiere in Leicester Square yesterday.

Paddy came straight from the premiere to the This Morning studio, and it showed, reports the Mirror .

The 46-year-old looked a little worse for wear as he was joined on the sofa by Top Gear co-star Chris Harris to talk about the new series.

The interview quickly went off the rails as the pair mucked about and Paddy mocked Chris for only having one nipple.

Chris said: "This is worse than I ever thought it could be. Absolute shower..."

On what he brings to Top Gear, Paddy said: "Alcohol...and lots of it."

After first appearing unannounced during Alice Beer's crisp segment earlier in the show and embarrassing co-star Chris, Paddy was told to go home and get a wash by Holly when they sat down to chat.

Phillip Schofield sarcastically said: "I find it shocking someone could come on this sofa and still be drunk."

While Holly Willoughby, who hinted at the NTA awards, asked: "Who would do that? This time next week it will be us."

She added: "You two go home and get washed. I’ve never finished an interview saying that."

This Morning viewers found the whole exchange hilarious. One said on Twitter: "Paddy McGuinness is still drunk I’m crying laughing."

Another wrote: "Is our Paddy still p***ed this morning after last night’s premiere"

"Oh dear this interview is gonna go viral ... paddy still p***ed up," added a third.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am
