Top Gear America reboot is coming, with Dax Shepard, Rob Corddry and Jethro Bovingdon as hosts.

The two American actors and the British journalist were unveiled as the programme’s faces on Tuesday by Variety.

Top Gear America, a US version of the cult UK version, originally aired in 2017.

It was reported in April 2019 by Deadline that the American programme would get a reboot as part of a deal between the media company MotorTrend Group and BBC Studios.

“This show has to be unapologetically fixated on American car culture and its influence around the world,” Alex Wellen, MotorTrend Group’s global president and general manager, told Variety in a statement, adding: “This show is one of those where talent is everything.”

Top Gear America is expected to feature locations around the US, as well as appearances by the Stig, Top Gear‘s mysterious masked driver.

BBC studios will produce this new version of the show.

The programme is set to air in spring 2020 on MotorTrend’s streaming service.
