A leading North Sea oil and gas dealmaker is to be the keynote speaker at Scottish Business Insider’s Deals and Dealmakers Breakfast.
Colin Welsh will lead a panel at the event, which will set out the deals landscape for the year ahead at a key time for the economy. Welsh is an international partner at US-based investor SCF Partners.
His current investment and management responsibilities include chairing two of Aberdeen’s largest service companies Centurion Group and Core Group, which are part of SC’s portfolio. He also sits on the board of other companies in Aberdeen and Australia.
Prior to that he had an 18-year stint at energy investment bank Simmons & Co where he earned a reputation as a major dealmaker.
He set up the Simmons Aberdeen office and built up the investment banks’s operations outside of the US.
Before joining Simmons the spent 16 years at the then Ernst and Whinney, Touch Ross and RMD,
He will give a keynote speech at the event along with four other speakers who will be announced shortly.
The Business Insider and CMS Deals and Dealmakers Business Breakfast is on Tuesday 3rd March at the Mercure Ardoe House Hotel at South Deeside Road in Blairs, Aberdeen.
