Top Edinburgh TripAdvisor hotel goes up for sale with whopping price tag

A popular Edinburgh hotel with a host of TripAdvisor reviews has gone up for sale with a whopping price tag.

The impressive Rosehall Hotel in the city's Southside is seeking a new owner with an asking price of £950,000.

The property, located on Dalkeith Road, is around a mile from the city centre and has proven popular down the years with visitors to the Scottish capital. The hotel is being sold as the owners, who operated the place for 17-years, are retiring.

According to review website TripAdvisor the hotel is rated 'very good' with a raft of excellent reviews.

Earlier this summer one visitor, who claimed to be one of the first post-lockdown guests, said of the hotel: "Everything was spotlessly clean and Covid-safe. Theresa who runs the hotel was extremely welcoming and friendly.

"In terms of location, it's a 25-minute walk from the Royal Mile which is great in terms of being quieter; there are regular buses if you want them, but it's easy walking as it's very flat. Lots of good coffee shops and interesting restaurants close by if you don't want to walk back into town in the evening. Altogether a really good place to stay, thank you Theresa."

The for-sale listing described the hotel as having eight letting bedrooms, a lounge bar and a three-bed private accommodation.

Agents Graham and Sibbald say this is a "popular and profitable business with a good level of repeat custom".

They add: "Located on Edinburgh’s main southerly arterial routes – Dalkeith Road – in a conservation area.

"The hotel/guest house is just over a mile south of Edinburgh city centre, ensuring ease of accessibility to many of Edinburgh’s most popular historical, cultural and entertainment venues. Edinburgh, as Scotland’s capital and seat of the Scotland’s parliament, is a major attraction in itself; and a top visited UK city, outside London. The world-renowned Edinburgh Festival is a huge attraction and the city remains a significant and major financial centre."
