Top cueists for SBA Open 6-Red snooker meet in capital

NEW DELHI: India’s top cueists will be seen in action in the SBA Open 6-Red snooker championships, to be played in the national capital from November 16 to 21.

The tournament will be played in the memory of late Amit Sharma, who had died after succumbing to Covid-19 in May this year. A former billiards champion, Sharma was the vice-president of the Delhi Billiards and Snooker Association (DBSA).

The week-long meet will attract a total prize money of Rs 1.5 lakh, announced DBSA president Vijay Goel.

Some of the confirmed participation includes Manan Chandra, Kamal Chawla (Railways), Pushpinder Singh (Railways), Shahbaz Khan, Sundeep Gulati, Anuj Uppal, Faizal Khan (Railways), Nitesh Madan, Digvijay Kadian, Shoiab Khan, Sumit Talwar, Divya Sharma and Rakesh Duggal, announced DBSA secretary Ravi Tandon.

The last date of submitting entries is November 11 with Megapool Academy, Dwarka’s Manmeet Bhatia.
