'Top class' - Arsenal fans have a demand for Unai Emery over Mesut Ozil and Lucas Torreira

Arsenal have enjoyed a successful first half of their Carabao Cup fourth round clash against Liverpool.

Despite going behind thanks to a Shkodran Mustafi own goal in just the sixth minute, goals from Lucas Torreira and a Gabriel Martinelli double put the Gunners in charge of the game.

However, a 42nd minute penalty from James Milner means that there is still all to play for going into the second half of an entertaining match.

Mesut Ozil was named in the starting eleven for a rare time this season, after not featuring since the third round tie against Nottingham Forest in September.

Fans have been left impressed by the German's performance in the middle of the park alongside Torreira, with both players involved in the goal to bring Arsenal level at 1-1.

Torreria has also found himself battling for a place in the starting eleven in the Premier League this season, having been an unused substitute in the last two league matches against Sheffield United and Crystal Palace.

The performance of both players, has been noticed by Arsenal supporters, with the balance of the midfield seemingly working as fans want it to in the Premier League.

The first half against Liverpool has led to fans taking to social media to let Unai Emery know their thoughts of the amount of Premier League game time that the two are getting, with many using the performance against the Reds, and the duo's involvement in the opening goal to prove their point.

In an end to end first half, Arsenal will be looking to continue their performance into the second in order to secure their passage into the next stage of the competition.
