MUMBAI: India’s top air rifle shooters will fight it out at the 14th RR Lakshya Cup, to be held at the Karnala Sports Academy, Panvel, between March 16 to 17. The event is conducted by Lakshya Shooting Club.
Top 54 shooters from the senior and junior men/ women rankings will be in action including Olympic probable Sandeep, world championship medallist Kiran Jadhav, ISSF World Cup medallists Sonam Maska and Shahu Mane.
The winner in the senior category will receive a cash prize of Rs 1,50,00 while second and third finishers will be richer by Rs 75,000 and Rs 40,000 respectively. In the junior category, the winner will get Rs 75000 while the second and third place finishers will get Rs 40,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
“Lakshya Cup is a great opportunity for shooters to test their skills in a hard-fought gender-neutral competition. I’m sure the shooters will embrace the challenge of top-notch shooting over the two days during the competition,” said Olympian Suma Shirur, the founder of the Lakshya Shooting Club.
