The October holidays are here and so, unfortunately, is the rain.
Parents will be looking to line up a list of fun activities and events to keep their little ones occupied during the break.
Here’s a run down of five top activities taking place across Stirling this week to keep the kids entertained.
1. Bricklive Stirling – Fantasy Kingdom, (October 8-24)
Bricklive Fantasy Kingdom is a toy brick trail of sword and sorcery, featuring life-sized sculptures of dragons, castles and princesses. Register for your free map and go on a fantastical quest through Stirling City Centre with the whole family. For more info click here.
2. Halloween Adventure at Blair Drummond Safari Park (October 8-31)

3. Forth Valley Food Festival (October 9-17)
A week long celebration of the local larder! Don’t miss the free session on molecular gastronomy where budding Heston Blumenthals can learn how to make strawberry tagliatelle and raspberry pearls. For more information and to book your place click here.
4. Half-term at the Battle of Bannockburn Experience (October 12-15)
Avoid sibling squabbles and head to Bannockburn for armour and weapons handling sessions (free) and sword and shield making sessions (£4). More information click here.
5. Stirling Science Festival (October 14-16)
Stirling Science Festival returns for a second year with a full programme of events for all the family to enjoy from science shows and robotics workshops, to animation sessions and virtual reality experiences.
