We don’t expect the Pittsburgh Steelers to focus heavily on in-house free agents this offseason. The team is in need of a reset and this means the front office could turn over a significant portion of the roster. But here are the five in-house free agents the Steelers should prioritize.
S Miles Killebrew

Killebrew doesn’t offer much on defense but he might be the best all-around special teams player in the league. Killebrew has blocked four punts since joining the Steelers.
QB Mason Rudolph

The Steelers have to cut Mitch Trubisky loose and unless the Steelers plan to draft a new quarterback early in the draft, Rudolph makes the most sense to keep around in 2024.
LB Kwon Alexander

Alexander was a late edition but quickly emerged as a playmaker for the Steelers. Getting Alexander back would fill a major need on defense.
DB Elijah Riley

Riley is a really affordable option in the secondary who can help round out the depth chart.
CB Levi Wallace or Chandon Sullivan

A slight caveat to this one the Steelers don’t need to re-sign both guys but the Steelers can’t let everyone go on the cornerback depth chart. We actually prefer Sullivan as an inside cornerback and a better value.
