First, they took away the side parting, and now Gen Z is coming for your holiday photos - more specifically, some shots you may think are 'classic' but could leave your feed looking outdated and annoying to younger scrollers.
Youth travel firm Topdeck Travel has polled 18-25 year olds to discover their future travel plans and while 93% are already planning a trip, it's been revealed that there are some 'classic' holiday photos that they will be looking to ditch entirely.
Luckily for aspiring influencers, Topdeck has shared their findings and unveiled the top five outdated and annoying social media snaps that are a big no-no according to Gen Z.
Take note of the below...
1. Posting pictures with cliché captions

If you only ditch one of the top five snaps, make it this one. Nearly half of those polled (42% to be exact) said that clichéd captions were a big no-no.
Over the last year with travel off the cards, we've mostly been spared some smug holiday photos of people enjoying a sunny poolside trip while you're stuck indoors on a rainy day.
Avoid the "My Monday is better than yours" caption - unsurprisingly, this was deemed one of the most annoying posts shared on social media.
2. ‘Copy and paste’ popular tourist images

A sunset held between two fingers, 'leaning' against the Leaning Tower of Pisa... these 'classic' holiday snaps may be tempting but try to resist the urge as apparently nowadays they're seen as outdated and unoriginal
3. Selfies to show off tan lines

Let's be honest - the only person who cares about your tan is you. Unless it's a spectacular tan line fail which we can all laugh about, most people aren't interested. Oh, and sunburn will just make people cringe for you - although if you do overdo it, there are some easy ways to soothe your skin.
Overly loving couple holiday snaps

We're actually going to agree with them on this one - avoid the 'silhouettes in front of a sunset' pose if you can.
Posting images jumping on the beach

We'd suggest avoiding this one if only for the hassle and time it takes; everyone needs to jump at the same time, the person taking the photo needs to have excellent timing. Take a quick group selfie and enjoy the rest of your day instead!
