The 2019 NFL trade deadline is Oct. 23. If the Pittsburgh Steelers are serious about making a playoff push in the final 10 games, they are going to need a supreme effort from all three units. But with injuries, it might necessitate that the Steelers work another trade. Here are four guys the Steelers might want to consider.
DT Brandon Dunn, Houston Texans
Dunn has lost reps to D.J. Reader despite his skills and would be an excellent replacement for Stephon Tuitt. He’s in the final year of his contract but would make a nice rental and wouldn’t cost much to get. Dunn would be a great option to free up Javon Hargrave for more reps as well.
WR Keelan Cole, Jacksonville Jaguars

The Steelers’ wide receiver depth chart is a mess. James Washington is out for several weeks, Donte Moncrief can’t seem to catch, Ryan Switzer is a complete nonfactor and JuJu Smith-Schuster is struggling to get going. Cole was a starter for the Jaguars at one point but fell out of favor despite leading the team in receiving yards in 2017.
LB Kyler Fackrell, Green Bay Packers

T.J. Watt and Bud Dupree have played well, but there is no depth beyond them. Fackrell led the Packers in sacks last season but has gotten lost on their depth chart this season. You can’t ignore 10.5 sacks like Green Bay has. He’d ben an immediate upgrade to Anthony Chickillo and Ola Adeniyi.
WR Emmanuel Sanders, Denver Broncos

It would be somewhat ironic if the Steelers brought Sanders back to replace Antonio Brown after Brown was the guy who replaced Sanders in the first place. He’s 32 years old but would instantly be the second-best wide receiver on the roster and easily the most dependable target.
