It might seem like the 2019 NFL season is just getting started but even after four games, the holes on the Pittsburgh Steelers roster are becoming clear. Pittsburgh has put themselves in an awkward situation this year because multiple trades have left them short on draft picks. The Steelers no longer have a first or third-round pick, however the hope is the net gain of safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and tight end Nick Vannett will more than make up for those.
But Pittsburgh does still hold a second-round pick so here are the top three draft needs as of now for Pittsburgh to fill with the pick.
1-Tight end
Say it louder for the people in the back. The Steelers must upgrade the tight end position. Vance McDonald can play but his complete inability to stay healthy limits his production too much.
Top 3 second-round targets
1-Albert Okwuegbunam, Missouri
2-Jacob Breeland, Oregon
3-Colby Parkinson, Stanford
2-Edge rusher

Even if Bud Dupree is able to maintain the current pace he is on, depth is still needed at outside linebacker. Anthony Chickillo has missed most of the season and offers very little in terms of a pass rush and through four games Ola Adeniyi hasn’t shown his preseason hype have carried over to the regular season.
Top 3 second-round targets
1-Curtis Weaver, Boise State
2-Afnernee Jennings, Alabama
3-Darrell Taylor, Tennessee
3-Offensive tackle

The play of Alejandro Villanueva and Matt Feiler has been underwhelming so far. But as poor as they have played, reserves Chuks Okorafor and Zach Banner really don’t offer much in terms of a replacement. This group misses offensive line coach Mike Munchak in the worst way so it is time to add more talent to counter a dip in coaching.
Top 3 second-round targets
1-Alex Leatherwood, Alabama
2-Yasir Durant, Missouri
3-Prince Tega Wanogho, Auburn
