We all know the names - the Beryls, Percys and Normans.
Once popular a name can fall out of favour as times and tastes change.
Earlier this month the most popular baby names were revealed.
Olivia and Oliver continued to prove a hit with parents, nabbing the top spots for the year, with Amelia in second place for girls names, followed by Ava, Isla and Emily.
For boys, George came in second, with Harry, Noah and then Jack behind, the Mirror reports.
As these names have risen up the ranks over the years, a number of names have drastically fallen - with some at risk of becoming extinct if parents continue not to pick them.
Gift and greeting card company Flowercard have delved into the latest ONS data to reveal the baby names which are considered 'endangered'.
According to their research, Kirsty is the girls name most likely to go extinct, with only four babies given the moniker in 2019.
The name has been decreasing in popularity since 2000, with a 99.24 percent drop in use.
Lauren, which was in the top 20 names for girls back in 2000, has also become 'endangered', dropping 98.02 percent in popularity between then and now.
Other 'endangered' girls names include Jordan, Shauna, Shannon and Courtney.
For the boys, the names most at risk are Mitchell and Kieran.
While there were 639 Mitchells born in 2000, this figure plummeted to just 21 in 2019, a drop of 96.71 percent.
Similarly, Kieran was a pretty popular name in 2000, with 2,586 baby boys given this name, compared to 116 in 2019 - a popularity decrease of 95.51 percent.
As well as these, Ross, Brandon, Craig and Ben are also on the list of boys names that could go extinct.
