The Arizona Cardinals are excited about how Day 2 of the NFL draft will begin on Friday. After selecting Kyler Murray first overall, they feel confident in the talent that is available after one round of the draft.
Arizona has the first pick in the second round and they will have their choice of all the available players.
“There are some guys to get really excited about and a number of guys we’ve got a first-round grade on,” general manager Steve Keim said after the conclusion of the first round.
These aren’t even players who are late first-round players, either.
“There are some names on that board left who we had in our top 15 picks,” coach Kliff Kingsbury said on Arizona Sports 98.7 FM after the first round of the draft ended Thursday night.
There are quality receivers, offensive linemen and defensive backs all available.
Keim, who is one who likes to make draft-day trades, said they have not gotten any calls for the first pick in the second round.
The second round of the draft begins at 4 p.m. Arizona time on Friday. Day 2 of the draft includes the second and third rounds. Arizona has the first pick in each of the rounds.
