After 10 years at Liverpool, Michael Edwards looks set to leave the club, reports The Athletic, after an incredible rise that took him from head of performance and analysis to sporting director.
During that time, the former Portsmouth analyst has overseen some of the biggest and best transfers in the world.
Many at Anfield see Edwards as the main man behind their transfer committee and is renowned for his ability to get a good deal.
And over the years, there have been several moves that have benefitted Liverpool hugely.
Here are 10 of the best deals that Edwards has overseen during his time on Merseyside.

10. Jordon Ibe
Once tipped as the 'next Raheem Sterling', Ibe was struggling for game-time despite the lofty tag and it became clear that his future lied away from Liverpool.
In 2016, the former Wycombe ace joined Bournemouth for a then-club record fee worth £15m but it never worked out for the winger, who scored just two Premier League goals for the Cherries during his time there.
9. Fabinho
During a time when Monaco were having their bones picked apart, Liverpool landed themselves one of the best when they signed Fabinho back in 2018.
The Brazilian has gone on to become one of the top defensive midfielders in the country - and cost a substantial amount less than the likes of Fred, Jorginho and Rodri.
8. Alisson
Just days after Loris Karius' shocker in the Champions League final vs Real Madrid, a deal was sorted for Alisson from AS Roma for around £66m.
A then-world record fee for a goalkeeper but his fee has been repaid in full after becoming one of the best stoppers in the sport.
7. Sadio Mane
Many scoffed when Liverpool signed Mane for £34m but that looks like absolute peanuts compared to his value now and what he has achieved at Anfield.
Forming a formidable trio with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, the Senegal international has scored 85 times in four years at the club.
6. Dominic Solanke
Despite scoring just once after 27 matches, Edwards pulled off a remarkable coup when he managed to sell Solanke for close to £20m to Bournemouth in 2018.
His goalscoring fortunes did not improve in the Premier League and Bournemouth were relegated two years later while Liverpool were seen laughing on their way to the bank.
5. Rhian Brewster
Brewster never played a single league game for Liverpool yet Edwards managed to land £23.5m from Sheffield United in the summer of 2020.
The England Under-21 international did impress for Swansea the year before on loan, it has to be said, but not a single league goal has been scored by the 21-year-old since.

4. Andrew Robertson

Commonly regarded as one of the biggest bargains of the decade, Robertson signed for Liverpool for £8m while Kevin Stewart went the other way for a similar fee - effectively making the transfer a swap deal.
One is a Premier League medallist, Champions League winner and is regarded as one of the best left-backs in the world. The other plays for Blackpool.
3. Mohamed Salah
Another who some doubted when Liverpool signed him from AS Roma for around £37m but the Reds would likely have paid triple that if they knew how much of an impact he would make.
In his first season, he scored 32 times in 36 Premier League matches and will leave Merseyside as a legend no matter what happens, up there with some of the best strikers the club has seen.
2. Virgil van Dijk
Perhaps the most transformative signing in recent history, Edwards was determined to bring Van Dijk to the club to solve Liverpool's defensive problems.
After splashing £75m, the pressure was on the Dutchman to perform - and he did just that - leading the Reds to the Champions League and a first-ever Premier League crown and becoming one of the best defenders in the world along the way.
1. Philippe Coutinho
One of the best deals Liverpool have ever done and all thanks to Edwards when Barcelona forked out £142m for Coutinho.
Despite the Brazilian effectively forcing his way out of the club, the Anfield outfit managed to prise a mammoth fee out of him.
It is safe to say that without that transfer fee, none of the likes of Van Dijk, Alisson or Fabinho would have arrived - and to make the deal that little bit sweeter, it has been a bit of a nightmare for Coutinho since making that move.
