Spain holidays are Brits' top choice for getaways in 2022, new rankings by ABTA have revealed.
The Travel Association unveiled the top 10 countries Brits are planning to travel to this year with Spain coming out top, followed by the USA and France.
It's not surprising to see Spain ranking highly, as it's been a firm favourite for decades with Brits looking for sun, sea and sand.
Then there are all of those beautiful beaches that are a hit during summer months, not to mention the Canary Islands and Balearic Islands attract families thanks to the budget-friendly packages on offer, family-friendly hotels and plethora of beaches, shops and attractions.
If you are planning a trip, it's worth noting that the country changed its entry rules for UK visitors late last year. Under the new rules, UK visitors aged 12 or over must be fully vaccinated to enter mainland Spain or the islands. The move came amidst concerns related to the spread of the Omicron variant.
It isn't just Spain that's on UK holidaymakers' radars. USA holidays are also looking to be popular, with the US taking the second spot in the rankings.
The US has lifted a travel ban on UK visitors, meaning that it's currently one of the countries open to Brits for holidays.

Of course there are heaps of different holidays on offer whether you're looking to explore the amazing national parks, finally tick New York City off the bucket list, or hit the theme parks in Orlando. (If it's the latter, we've got guides to the best Walt Disney World deals and Universal Orlando deals on everything from tickets to package holidays).
Meanwhile, although France currently has banned Brits from entering for non-essential reasons such as holidays, Brits haven't been deterred. Instead, France holidays are the third most popular option UK holidaymakers are considering this year.
