What else is there to say about Hot Rod that has not been said? A senior out of Marrietta, Georgia, Blankenship went from a walk-on player to college football’s most reliable kicker.
He has never missed an extra point. He had touchbacks on 82 of 97 kickoffs last year. Over his career, he is 53-64 kicking, including a 55 yarder against Oklahoma that was one of the biggest plays of the season.
