At No. 4 on our list is senior safety J.R. Reed, who is ready to perform as one of college football’s best defensive backs.
After transferring to UGA in the summer of 2016 from Tulsa, Reed sat out during 2016 season at Georgia. In 2017, Reed started 15 games, ranked 2nd on team with 79 total tackles, including 5.0 for lost yardage, 1.5 QB sacks, 2 INTs, 5 pass breakups, 6 QB pressures and two fumble recoveries.
Last year, Reed started all 14 games and finished with 66 tackles. His career high in tackles is 11 vs Auburn in 2017.
