Top 10 biggest player value decreases this season with Sadio Mane and Paul Pogba in list

The value of Tottenham’s Dele Alli has dropped by a whopping £28.8million over the past year, with the midfield now worth just half of his value from a year ago.

The 25-year-old was frozen out by Spurs by previous boss Jose Mourinho this season as he started just one Premier League match since the opening day defeat against Everton under the boss.

Alli has subsequently started three league matches under interim boss Ryan Mason and Mourinho’s exit may prompt a rejuvenation for the player in North London.

The former MK Dons star tops the list of market value price drops over the past 12 months in the Premier League, in data compiled by Transfermarkt.

The player’s England international teammate Raheem Sterling is second on the list with a drop of £25.2million in his value, plummeting from a sky-high £115.2million valuation to £90million now.

Sterling’s form has dipped this season - scoring just 11 goals across the Premier League and Champions League compared to 26 the previous campaign and is no longer a sure-fired starter at the Etihad.

His City teammate Sergio Aguero completes the top three with a price drop of £24.3million - perhaps unsurprising given his injuries, lack of game-time, age and contractual status.

The Argentine is leaving City as a free agent this summer with his current market value standing at £22.5million, with just two league goals this campaign.

Perhaps somewhat surprisingly, Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante comes in at fourth - losing £22.5million from his £72million valuation to just £49.5million now.

Another star who has struggled this season is Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, whose value dropped from £50.4million to £31.5million - a loss of £18.9million.

A quartet of four players have had a total of £18million shaved off their values - Manchester City ’s Kevin De Brunye, Liverpool forward Sadio Mane, Rodrigo Moreno of Leeds United and Manchester United midfield maestro Paul Pogba.

De Bruyne and Mane are both valued at £90million, with Pogba at £54million - potentially influenced by being out of contract in a year - with Leeds forward Rodrigo now at £18million.

Completing the top 10 is Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, whose drop of £17.1million now sees his valuation come in at £11.7million.
