It's an exciting time to be a Pokémon fan, as the upcoming launch of Pokémon Legends Z-A is fueling a Mega Evolution revolution. As such, the cards are getting in on the action, and we will soon have the latest set called Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution in the West.
Predictably, this expansion is all about Mega Evolution and features some amazing new cards based on old favorites, such as Mega Lucario and Mega Gardevoir, among many others. So we're flipping through all the information out there, and letting you know all about the best cards in this set.
Some of them will just look cool, some will have huge meta ramifications, but either way, you'll want to get your hands on them. If you're out grabbing yourself some Booster Packs, here are the 10 best cards in Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution.
The 10 best cards in Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution

Fighting Gong
A simple card but an effective one, Fighting Gong allows you to search for one Fighting-type Pokémon, or one Fighting-type Energy from your deck, and put it into your hand. This could be really good for getting a Riolu and getting your Mega Lucario ex online, as well as quickly amassing Energy so you can hit early and hit hard.

Premium Power Pro
It's pretty obvious why this one is here. Premium Power Pro gives an extra 30 damage to attacks from Fighting-type Pokémon. This brings Mega Lucario ex's Mega Brave up to 300 damage, and for only two Fighting-type Energy. Couple that with Fighting Gong, and Mega Lucario could be a real threat this season.

Lillie's Determination
A fantastic card for getting your deck online, Lillie's Determination allows you to shuffle your hand into your deck and then draw six cards. But if you have all six prize cards remaining, you can draw eight instead. If you pull a bad first hand but pull Lillie's Determination, this is a phenomenal reset.

Wally's Compassion
Adding some versatility to the new Mega Pokémon ex, Wally's Compassion allows you to heal all damage, but at the cost of all attached Energy cards. It's a big gamble, but it helps bulky Pokémon like Mega Venusaur ex and Pokémon that can attack quickly, Mega Gardevoir ex.

Solrock & Lunatone
If you want to build up a reliable Fighting-type deck, Lunatone's Lunar Cycle lets you swap one basic Fighting-type Energy and draw three cards. Helpful for grabbing yourself support cards or basic Pokémon.

Mega Manetric ex
While Mega Manetric ex has two powerful attacks, it's the first, called Flash Ray, which matters. For two Electric-type energy, Flash Ray prevents all damage to Mega Manetric from basic Pokémon. This includes Mega Mawile ex and Mega Kangaskhan ex, making it a fantastic stall.

Mega Venusaur ex
Move energy quickly with Solar Transfer, then do massive damage and heal with Jungle Dump. Mega Venusaur ex may take a while to get online, but it could be a huge problem when it's finally in place.

Mega Mawile ex
Another interesting attack, Mega Mawile's Greedily Devour takes 80 Damage for every Prize card you've already taken. This makes it a great late-game sweeper, especially as its second attack Big Bite does more damage if your opponent has a damage counter already.

Mega Gardevoir ex
Another season, another Gardevoir. This one plays more of a stall and assist role, as Overflowing Wishes could be really helpful for other Psychic-type Pokémon on the bench. However, simply loading up your bench also powers up Mega Symphonia, meaning if you play your cards right, Gardevoir can hit for massive damage to control the game.

Mega Lucario ex
The new Mega Lucario ex is not only a great-looking card, but also fairly intimidating. It can use Aura Jab to set up other Fighting-type Pokémon, even another Mega Lucario, and while Mega Brave can only be used once every two turns, doing 270 damage for two energy is seriously scary.
