The No. 1 overall 2022 high school player from the state of Georgia, according to 247Sports, is 5-star cornerback Travis Hunter.
Hunter is also rated as the No. 2 overall cornerback in the country for the 2022 recruiting class. The Suwanee, GA native will be entering his junior year at Collins Hill High School.
Hunter currently is a hard commit to Florida State University. He stands at 6-foot-1, 165 pounds. During his sophomore season he caught 12 touchdowns and 9 interceptions.
Hunter is an instinctual ball-hawk, making some of the most athletic interceptions you’ll ever see. Florida State locked Hunter up on March 3rd of 2020. He turned down offers from Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia and a number of other top FBS schools.
