Toolstation all set to open at Trade Yard Willerby as Allenby's branded developments power on

Toolstation is to open at The Trade Yard Willerby next week, with the overhauled former Bonus Electrical site looking set to be fully occupied soon.

The national brand, which has just opened its 500th store, follows hot on the heels of Screwfix, with the two remaining units now under offer on Grange Park Lane.

Planning consent has also just been obtained for a new-build nursery, with Hull’s Allenby Commercial team behind the development, and a provider in place.

It is a third branch for Toolstation in the Hull area, with seven jobs created to serve trade and DIY customers.

More than 60 branches are being opened this year, as the business closes in on 20 years of trading in 2023.

New store manager Sarah Peach said: “We are pleased to be opening the new branch and supporting local tradespeople, DIY-ers and home builders with tools and more in Hull.

“We recognise the importance of challenging times and our knowledgeable team are committed to providing local customers with a reliable and convenient service for the essentials they need to tackle any task.”

The branch will operate the brand’s rapid click and collect - with availability within five minutes - and will open between 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday; 7am to 7pm Saturday and 9am to 4pm Sundays.

Dale Gooderham, Allenby Commercial’s asset manager, said: “It has been a good site for us. We’ve put quite a lot of work in when it came to the main frames of the buildings and we’ve done it all either with our own teams or local contractors, which is great for the local economy.”

Building on success in Beverley and Scunthorpe, a Driffield addition is now being brought forward, as reported.

“We’ve had some good interest, with one occupier definitely signed up and a couple of other parties interested,” he said. “It is building into quite a good brand.”
