As well as the ever handy TripAdvisor, one app people are loving is called 'Too Good To Go' which launched in the UK all the way back in 2016.
The idea behind the app is that cafés, shops and restaurants all put together any leftover food in a bag or two - depending on how much is left - and sell it at a cheaper price.

This is in a bid to avoid wasting food and money as well as introducing new people to local places.
According to the food waste business, nine million people have already used the app with over 20,000 businesses reducing their food waste along the way.
In addition, the world’s largest food-waste app was recognised for its work in providing solutions to the global food waste challenge having secured a place on The Times 100 Most Influential Companies 2022.
