In-form Motherwell talisman Tony Watt is reportedly set to quit the Steelmen at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old has been brilliant this campaign and his nine Premiership goals have his side in the mix for European qualification.
But the Scottish Sun state talks over a new deal at Fir Park have reached a stalemate and the former Celtic forward is expected to explore his options as a free agent.
It's understood that discussions have remained amicable between the club and the player's representatives, who are based south of the border.
Watt has been a well-travelled face since bursting onto the scene at Parkhead following his legendary winner over Barcelona in 2012.
He has spent time in Belgium and Bulgaria but has found a home with Motherwell, with his exploits under Graham Alexander's tutelage have led to call over a potential Scotland return.
His eye for goal has turned heads but regular observers rave about his ability to bully the opposition and bring others into the game.
Watt's deal runs out at the end of the season.
