Tony Romo had one of Pro Football Focus’ all-time games against Chicago Bears

Pro Football Focus recently published the top-100 single-game performances since the analytics powerhouse began grading games in 2006. That’s 13 seasons of data spawned from every player, one game at a time.

Unfortunately for the Chicago Bears, they appear on the wrong side of this list. No Bears qualified for the top-100, but their defense gave up one of PFF’s most memorable grades.

In 2010, Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo scorched Chicago for 374 yards:

79. TONY ROMO, DALLAS COWBOYS

95.8 OVERALL GRADE, WEEK 2 OF THE 2010 SEASON

Romo’s 2010 season may have lasted all of 357 snaps, but it sure started with a bang. The former Cowboys signal-caller dismantled the Bears in Week 2, completing 34-of-51 attempts for 374 yards, one touchdown and four big-time throws on the day, with 220 of those yards coming from passes that were targeted at least 10 yards downfield.

It’s worth noting that the Bears still won that game, 27-20, and ended the 2010 regular season with an 11-5 record and the NFC North championship.
