Tony Pulis makes Serge Gnabry admission that will anger Arsenal fans after Tottenham display

Former West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis has said that he is 'amazed' at what former Arsenal man Serge Gnabry has gone onto achieve in his career so far.

The Bayern Munich attacker scored four goals and provided one assist in the German club's 2-7 thrashing of Spurs in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The 24-year-old spent time working under Pulis during an successful loan spell at West Bromwich Albion in 2016, during which he made just three first team appearances before returning to parent club Arsenal.

The German was sold to Bundesliga club Werder Bremen the following summer, but has since gone from strength to strength, winning the Bundesliga, German Cup and German Super Cup with Bayern Munich last season.

"I'm amazed, we had him at West Brom we took him on loan and we could never get him fit," Pulis told Sky Sports after the player's four-goal haul against Spurs. "I think he even got taken off in an U21 game."

"He went back to Arsenal, they sold him on. He was a good kid, a nice kid, I didn't mind him at all and he's really fulfilled his potential.
