Tony Mowbray identifies three areas where 'world class' Marcelo Bielsa has got Leeds United ticking

Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray says his side are in for a 'big' challenge when they take on Leeds United at Elland Road this weekend.

The Lancashire side make the trip across the Pennines on Saturday sitting 16th in the table, ten points worse off then third-place Leeds in both side's final fixture before the November international break.

And Mowbray is well aware of the size of the task this his team faces.

"We know the challenge is big," the Rovers boss said during his Thursday press conference. "This week’s been good after the win but now we’ve got to go to Elland Road in front of 30,000. It’ll be a big boost for us if we can go there and put in a performance."

Bielsa's side are out of the top two on goal difference and Mowbray believes their title credentials are legit, singling out three areas where Leeds can hurt you.

"I think they’re one of the strongest teams. The environment they play in every week, there’s a huge expectancy on their player’s backs but they generally live up to it. They make a lot of passes, ask questions and create chances."

And as for Bielsa himself, Mowbray dubbed him 'world class'.

"He's managed top class teams so we have to be respectful of a world class coach," he continued. "We should go and enjoy the atmosphere and show that we can compete."

The cross-Pennine clash takes place at Saturday at 3pm.
