Tony La Russa ejected during Brewers’ 6-run 7th inning as White Sox drop series opener, 7-1

MILWAUKEE — Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa and shortstop Tim Anderson were ejected in Friday’s 7-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers at American Family Field.

The Brewers broke the game open with six runs in the seventh. La Russa got ejected after reliever Ryan Burr issued a bases-loaded walk to Rowdy Tellez. Tyrone Taylor followed with a grand slam.

Anderson was ejected during the top of the eighth.

Left fielder Andrew Vaughn had three hits for the White Sox, including an eighth-inning home run.

Sox starter Lucas Giolito allowed six hits and walked five in six innings but held the Brewers to one run before they broke out against Aaron Bummer and Burr in the seventh.
