Tony Hawk posts adorable video of his daughter learning how to drop-in on a skateboard for the first time

Tony Hawk has shared an adorable video of him teaching his daughter how to drop in on a skateboard.

The professional skateboarder, 50, posted a video of his daughter Kadence reaching a special milestone on Saturday.

The video has since had over six million views.

He wrote: “My daughter overcoming her fear in real time (wait for it). I might have been more nervous than she was.”

The video prompted other people to post their own experiences of being a beginner or of teaching their own children to skate.

One user wrote: “Love this. My daughter learned how to use an impact wrench today.”

Marina said: “Probably the most difficult and crucial thing of parenting: avoiding to transmit our fears and help them overcome their own.”

Tom Relyea wrote: "You never ever forget the first time you drop in. EVER!!! Any skater knows what she felt."

Tony Hawk is one of the most famous skateboarders of all-time.

He won 10 gold medals at the Summer X Games and in 2009 was inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame at its inaugural ceremony.

In 2009, he became the first person to skateboard on the White House grounds with permission from officials.
