Chief executive Tony Fitzpatrick has branded the individual who invaded the Simple Digital Arena to kick a ball around the pitch as “totally stupid”.
St Mirren reported the incident to the police on Sunday and handed them CCTV footage of the brazen person who entered the ground illegally.
Fitzpatrick hopes there will be no copycat incidents as the country attempts to deal with the coronavirus outbreak.
He told Express Sport : “We’re all frustrated at these times with lockdown methods in place, but this was just totally stupid.
“The NHS are doing so much on the frontline to combat this horrible disease and to do something like this flies in the face of their efforts. It’s totally unacceptable.
“I am going out for a walk a day when I can but I’m not going to jump into someone else’s garden and start kicking a ball around. We don’t need this kind of unacceptable behaviour.”
