Tony Blair set for Good Morning Britain appearance as Piers Morgan tells viewers they're in for 'lively show'

Tony Blair is set to be today’s special guest on Good Morning Britain.

The former Prime Minister will share his views on the latest Brexit developments as he appears on the ITV show on Tuesday.

Host Piers Morgan said viewers were in for a “very lively show”.

Ex-Labour leader Mr Blair, speaking to the same show in December, said the only “valid” option for the Brexit process would be to have a second referendum.

He said there was a “division in Parliament” and that he “can’t see a way out of this” without a second vote.

At the time Mr Blair criticised Theresa May’s deal, claiming it “yields far too much with far too little in return”, but said he sympathises with her.

He added: “She’s actually a perfectly reasonable person, surrounded by a lot of unreasonable people frankly.”

His appearance on the show comes after Speaker John Bercow dropped a Brexit bombshell by ruling out a third vote on Mrs May’s plan.

Mr Bercow has been facing a fierce backlash over the move, in which he invoked a convention dating back to 1604 to stop the vote from taking place.

ITV's Good Morning Britain is broadcast on weekdays from 6am.
