Tony Bellew's emotional admission on Channel 4's SAS Who Dares Wins

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins was back tonight with twelve new well-known faces, all of whom think they have what it takes to pass SAS Selection.

They embarked on the toughest test of their lives facing a gruelling course in the challenging terrain of Scotland’s rugged West Coast.

Leaving their glamorous lives behind and living together in a derelict farmstead on the remote island of Raasay they will be exposed to Scotland’s unforgiving weather, harsh landscape and volatile seas.

One of those celebrities is Liverpool's Tony Bellew.

The former professional boxer said he wanted to go on the show to have his limits pushed.

He said: "The reason I wanted to do it was because I've always admired the guys in the military and armed forces, especially the SAS boys.

"I took the Navy test when I was a kid, when I was younger, and then pulled out last minute. I passed it, and then pulled out last minute, because I wanted to pursue a career in boxing.

"I have a lot of time for the Royal Marines, but I just didn't think I'd be fit enough or good enough, so I didn't go down that path and stuck to the boxing."

But during the show's boxing task, where eight contestants continuously punched Tony, he lost his temper.

Splitting the group up, chief Ant Middleton told Tony to control himself.

Later on in the show, staff were worried about his behaviour and called him in, asking for an explanation.

Tony explained: "Everything I've set out to do in life I've done, but I still feel like it's not enough.

"I'm trying to find it but I don't know what I'm supposed to be."

Speaking about life after boxing he said: "I feel I'm going to explode any moment, I just feel like I can be a horrible c*** sometimes.

"I can't explain it without sounding like a f****** maniac."

Ant told Tony he needed to focus on something new, otherwise he'd come unstuck.

He said: "The moment you identify or acknowledge what it is you're going to cause a lot of damage.

"You need to do some f****** soul searching."
