Tonight's World Cup headlines as James says Wales have no fear for England, Neymar out and Ramsey 'not in same league' as Bale

These are your World Cup evening headlines on Friday, November 25.

DJ - we must have no fear

Daniel James says Wales have nothing to fear ahead of their must-win clash with England on Tuesday.

Rob Page's side's hopes of reaching the World Cup knockout stages were dealt a brutal blow as they lost 2-0 to Iran - conceding twice in injury-time after Wayne Hennessey was red carded.

It leaves Wales bottom of Group B with just one match left to play in the group stages, although James says the Red Dragons will put their Iran horror show behind them and switch their full focus on to Gareth Southgate's side.

"First we’ve got to analyse this game, look at what we could’ve done better and try and take the positives out of it," said the winger.

"Obviously, they play tonight and then we’ve got to go into that game with no fear. We’ve got nothing to lose.

"We’re here, we’ve got one game left and we can’t go into that thinking we’ve already lost. We can pick ourselves up. It’s going to be a tough one for the boys to take today but tomorrow we’ll dust ourselves off and get ready for that one.

"England have got top players but we have to go into that game with no fear."

Neymar injury blow

Brazil duo Neymar and Danilo are expected to miss the remainder of the World Cup group stages through injury.

Neymar was withdrawn in the 80th minute of his side's 2-0 triumph over Serbia with an ankle issue, while Danilo has been struggling with the same issue having played the duration of his side's tournament opener.

And reports in Brazil suggest the pair are now poised to miss the five-time World Cup winners' fixtures with Switzerland and Cameroon as they bid to recover ahead of the knockout rounds.

Richarlison struck both goals as the Selecao started their tournament with a bang against Serbia on Thursday night.

Saunders: We can beat England

Radio pundit Dean Saunders says Wales can beat England next week and believes Aaron Ramsey isn't in the same league as Gareth Bale.

Wales boss Rob Page kept his trusted lieutenants on the pitch right to the end against Iran, despite both enduring poor games in a red shirt.

Saunders, however, backed Page on keeping his skipper on. “He produces the goods. I’ve watched all his caps,” the talkSPORT commentator said.

“That is the first game I’ve ever seen him have where he’s not done anything. He always does something.

“You can’t take him off. Even though he did nothing. Take Aaron Ramsey off, he’s not in the same league.”

He added: “I’ve not given up yet. We can beat [England].

“It’s football. When this tournament started, there were only going to be two teams left at the end. Someone gets beat.

“Hungary beat England 4-0. Anything can happen in football.”

He added: "We haven’t got the luxury of having [James] Maddison in the treatment room and the manager going, ‘It’s alright – we’ll pick Phil Foden or Mason Mount or Jack Grealish’.

“If we had another three Bales sitting around, you would pull him off. But every game we watch him play he does something to win it.

“What do we do against England? Play your best team. For me, Bale is in it.”

Saunders then went on to put Wales’ achievements into perspective, saying that it’s a huge achievement for a nation of their size to even be in Qatar.

He said: “It’s a miracle for us to be here. We’ve won our tournament by being here.

“The expectation level is up there that we can give anyone a game. We drew with the USA. There are 300million people in America. We’ve got three (million). Every time we go on the pitch it’s a good result.

“Now we’re going to play against England, we should have no chance. But stop looking back, get off the floor, and we’ll beat England.”
