Actress Toni Collette has revealed her husband-of-16 years Dave Galafassi has been involved in a near-fatal motorbike accident.
The Murial's Wedding star took to Instagram to share the news to fans with a photo of six emergency vehicles and a helicopter attending the scene.
Toni said that Dave was lucky to be alive and was recovering 'slowly.'
Taking to the social media site, she penned: "Recently my husband had a devastating motorbike accident. He's now recovering slowly but well. We're so lucky to still have him."
Toni then thanked the emergency services for saving Dave's life. "It may not have been the case without the work of the incredible folks at @nswambulance and @tollambulancerescue.'
'Thank you so very much for your swiftness, clarity, knowledge, compassion and dedication,' she continued.
'You saved him and we cannot thank you enough. Yes, it is a very Merry Christmas. THANK YOU."
Toni and Dave share two children daughter Sage, 11, and son Arlo, eight.
Toni shot to fame after starring in movie classic Murial's Wedding, released in 1994.
