Tones and I has been issued a fine in court months after her American bulldog tragically attacked and killed another dog outside of her home in Victoria. tahl
ICYMI, the Aussie singer was unfortunately at the centre of the pet drama back in November, when her dog, named Boss, fatally attacked a 17-year-old cavoodle.
The incident took place while the “Dance Monkey” singer (whose real name is Toni Elizabeth Watson) was in the shower of her home in the Mornington Peninsula.

Watson’s neighbour and the owner of the attacked dog, Wayne Schultz, said he was walking his cavoodle when he spotted the singer’s other dog shut out of her home.
According to the Herald Sun, Watson’s friend Tahlia arrived at Watson’s home and opened the gate for the dog, and accidentally let Boss escape in the process.
The bulldog then charged at Schultz’s elderly dog and bit down on its neck.
The ordeal only ended when three people — including Schultz, a passerby, and Watson’s husband Jason Bedford — managed to stop the attack, though the cavoodle unfortunately died as a result of the biting injuries.
Also during the attack, Schultz reportedly sustained an eye injury while the passerby suffered a fractured hand.
Only adding to the tragedy, Boss was later euthanised while Watson was fined by the local council, the details of which were revealed on Thursday.
Watson, who did not attend court due to being overseas, was ordered to pay a $3000 fine for failing to securely confine two dogs and for not re-registering the American bulldog.
She was also made to pay the associated council costs in the civil matter.
It was later revealed in court that Watson went to Schultz’s house after the attack, where the pair both cried and where Watson offered to pay any funeral-related costs, which he denied.

“The victim’s family are devastated by the loss of their family pet and the manner in which the dog died in front of them,” Mornington Peninsula Shire prosecutor Colin McLean said in court on Thursday.
Tones and I was unable to attend court as she is currently recording her upcoming album in the U.S. It will serve as the follow-up to her 2024 album, Beautifully Ordinary.
