Tomorrow trailer: First look at Martin Scorsese-produced British film

The first look at Tomorrow, a new British drama produced by Martin Scorsese, has been released.

Directed by Martha Pinson – the filmmaker’s long-time script supervisor – Tomorrow follows a soldier named Tesla (Sebastian Street) who, upon returning home from Afghanistan, begins suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

One chance encounter with Sky (Stuart Brennan), though, and he learns that their unlikely friendship can help him through the darkness.

Both Street and Brennan wrote the film that has the support of the Goodfellas director, whose own new film – The Irishman – will be released in November. It marks the first British film he’s ever produced. He followed this up with Joanna Hogg’s The Souvenir, which is released next week.

Pinson worked with Scorsese on The Departed (2006) and Shutter Island (2010).

Starring alongside them are Stephen Fry, Sophie Kennedy Clark, James Cosmo, Paul Kaye and singer Joss Stone.

Tomorrow opens across cinemas nationwide on 27 September.
