Tomori and James in, Lampard's big decision over Abraham: Chelsea line-ups vs Leicester City

It is a return to Premier League action for Chelsea this weekend as the Blues travel to face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Third hosts fourth as Frank Lampard's men make the trip to face Brendan Rodgers' Foxes, who lost out in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup against Aston Villa in midweek.

Leicester currently have an eight point advantage over Chelsea in the Premier League though, with the Foxes 14 points ahead of Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves.

There could still be changes to both squads ahead of the game, with the January transfer window deadline looming tomorrow.

But we have taken a look at how Chelsea could line up for the game, below.

The biggest question mark surrounds the fitness of Tammy Abraham, with Frank Lampard hoping that the leading goalscorer has recovered from his foot issue to start in the East Midlands.

He is unlikely to be 100 per cent but might be risked such is the lack of faith in Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud, who could still move in the next 24 hours.

That aside the only question mark surrounds who starts at right back. Reece James is hoping to have recovered from his knee injury sustained away to Newcastle a fortnight ago and will slot straight in should he be declared fit.

If so, Cesar Azpilicueta will line up on the left side of defence.

It's also likely that Lampard will opt for his experienced midfield three against Brendan Rodgers' side and that would mean Mason Mount could line up on the wing.

With Tammy Abraham a doubt for the game, Frank Lampard may be forced into a change up top.

But who plays up front could depend on who is still at the club come Saturday.

Olivier Giroud is the more likely to leave out of him and Michy Batshuayi, which means the Belgian is in line to start again, after being given the nod against Hull City last weekend.

Lampard's other big decisions are in defence and the front three, with Kepa likely to return in goal, despite recent criticism.

If Reece James is fit, he should start at right-back, with Cesar Azpilicueta at left-back, while in the middle of defence, Fikayo Tomori may have done enough to earn himself a place after scoring at Hull.

The midfield trip picks itself with Jorginho, N'Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic performing well together this season, while Lampard will have to decide whether to start Mason Mount or Callum Hudson-Odoi alongside Willian in the front three, with Christian Pulisic unlikely to be fit.

Robert Warlow's Chelsea team (4-3-3): Kepa, James, Rudiger, Tomori, Azpilicueta; Jorginho, Kante, Kovacic; Willian, Mount, Batshuayi.
