Comedian Tommy Tiernan has issued yet another big teaser to fans as the latest season of his RTE chat show draws to a close.

The funnyman has delighted viewers each week with his off the cuff chats with a range of guests each week on the Tommy Tiernan Show.

In fact the show was so popular RTE extended this season by a further six episodes due to demand.

However with this season set to end very soon fans will be longing for more Tommy in their lives.

Thankfully Tommy has more to give as he continues with his popular podcast with fellow presenters Hector O'Heochagain and Laurita Blewitt.

For the last week Tommy has been teasing fans with the promise of some big news coming for the podcast.

And yesterday he issued his latest hint that fans should be getting excited.

Seeing as it was posted on Wednesday fans should get ready for a big announcement at some stage today.

The Navan funnyman continues to be a hit with viewers and telly bosses with his laid-back unscripted Saturday night chat show.

In the latest figures by RTE, an average of 436,000 people tuned into Friday night’s Late Late Show, while an average of 506,000 people watched Tommy Tiernan on Saturday night.

The previous Saturday night, nearly half a million people tuned into the comedian’s show to see former RTE newsreader Anne Doyle open up about her personal life.

According to RTE, The Tommy Tiernan Show earned 490,000 viewers on Saturday, March 27, while The Late Late Show racked up 475,000 viewers the night before.

It was just three weeks ago that The Tommy Tiernan Show had beaten The Late Late Show’s viewer ratings for the first time ever.
