The Antrim Coast Half Marathon witnessed a new world record on Saturday morning.
Tommy Hughes proved his class once again with an incredible run along the coastal route.
The Irish Masters star posted a time of 71:09 - the fastest half marathon run anywhere in the world by a man over 60.
Hughes - who competed at the 1992 Olympics - is no stranger to breaking records.
In April 2019 he ran the Rotterdam Marathon in a time of the 2.30.15, the fastest marathon ever run by an Irishman over 55 and the world record for a 59-year-old.
And last November the Termoneeny RC member and his son Eoin broke the Guinness World Record for fastest marathon by a father and son with an aggregate time of 4:59:22.
The Maghera man took up running at the age of 21 back in 1981, mainly to keep fit and to improve his GAA prospects.
He ran the Belfast Marathon the following year and that lit the touch paper on his running career.
Sir Mo Farah won the men's race at the Antrim Coast Half Marathon event, with Belfast runner Stephen Scullion (4th) breaking the Northern Ireland record.
